LOCATION OF POSITION

MDH/Spring Grove Hospital Center, Finance Department/Procurement, Catonsville, Maryland

Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position will be to function as a procurement individual authorized to purchase goods and/or services through the normal procurement methods and/or utilizing a corporate purchasing card separately assigned to at an average purchase limit of $90,000. This position also has routine contacts with vendors and various departments in this agency regarding initiating RFPs and PO's for the procurement of commodities and services obtained at this hospital. This position is considered an Emergency Essential position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a State high school equivalence certificate.

Experience: Five years of experience in receiving, storing, issuing, purchasing and requisitioning supplies, materials and equipment, three years of which must have included experience at the supervisory or management level or must have involved the final responsibility for purchasing and requisitioning.

Notes: Applicants may substitute education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for one year of experience for up to one year of the required general experience.
