Job Duties: Administrative responsibility for Clinical Pastoral Education program. Develops, organizes, and directs department educational activities pertaining to spiritual/pastoral care, guidance and training of student chaplains as they provide spiritual care to patients, families and Hospital employees in accordance with philosophy, mission statement and objectives of the Hospital.

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift

Education: Requires Master's of Divinity (M.Div.) degree or equivalent of formal theological education from a theological seminary accredited by the Association of Theological schools, or equivalency granted through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), Inc.

Licensure: Requires current ordination and endorsement for specialized ministry from a nationally recognized religious community or equivalency granted through ACPE, Inc.

Requires current certification as an Associate Supervisor or CPE Supervisor within ACPE, Inc.

Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or an equivalent national professional Chaplains organization preferred.

Experience: Requires at least five years of professional pastoral ministry in clinical and/or ecclesiastical settings. Experience in an academic medical center is preferred.

Works in patient care areas where there are no physical discomforts due to dust, dirt, temperature and the like
