Job Duties: Screens and handles routine matters for the Division Chief of Cardiology. Performs administrative duties such as drafting, editing, and typing complex reports, developing, implementing and maintain appropriate office protocol and organization, as well as competently executing or delegating the day to day administrative tasks. Completes and initiates data gathering for efficient effort allocation, outreach confirming referring providers are receiving notes from the division an act as an outreach to physicians offices to advance the goals of the division and hospital. Provide care coordination for frequent add-on scheduling and rescheduling of regular and urgent appointments. Coordinates and organizes referrals from the Johns Hopkins Health System and Johns Hopkins University Executive Leadership. Provides access to patients for heart failure and diuresis clinic. Orders supplies and equipment within departmental budget, organizes and prioritizes work to meet changing priorities, makes decisions regarding work processes based upon established guidelines. Ability to understand hospital forms, requisitions, purchase orders, department reports.
Full time (40 hours)
Work requires a high school level of educational development and up to one year of basic technical training in secretarial, business or office management.
Two years of previous experience is required. Medical office experience is preferred.
Works in normal office environment where there is little discomfort to due to the extremes of heat, dust, noise, temperature and the like.
