Position Summary :
Under minimal supervision of the Linen Services Group Leader/Supervisor, assembles, inspects and counts linen. Transports both clean and soiled linen. Comprehends and demonstrates the delivery process as it relates to the Towline Operations for the Supply Chain Shared Service Center.
Delivers and distributes routine linen orders. Pulling of soiled linen chutes. Records inventory using hand held devices. Unloads and load linen trailer, replenishes linen shelves and cleans shelves as required. Operates ScrubEx dispensing equipment. Understands and delivers linen to various locations throughout the hospital, in accordance with established linen delivery standards. Empties soiled linen chute by end of shift 100% of the time. Accurately counts and records delivery amounts and return amounts as required by inventory control system. Loads and unloads supply linen trailer based on the guidelines established by the department. Stocks shelves in neat orderly manner, rotating stock as necessary. Cleans shelves using appropriate cleaning solutions. Ensure machine are filled and soiled scrubs collected by end of shift 100% of the time.
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Requires ability to read and understand English in order to follow instructions, job assignments, schedules and work orders. Ability to utilize and understand universal safety precautions when delivering.
Ability to operate electrical tow motor. Must be able to count and accurately complete inventory sheets. Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with medical staff, patients, visitors and other hospital employees.
D. Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:
Requires active certification for motorized pallet jacks and tow motor through Hospital Safety and Environment within 6 months of hire. Requires evidence of Hospital towline operations competency within 6 months of hire.
E. Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 9 months’ experience.
F. Machines, Tools, Equipment:
Operates ScrubEx dispensing equipment. Materials handling equipment, hand held computers, bar code scanners.

40 hours per week/Night Shift/ 9:30pm - 6:00am Weekend Work Required
