Job Duties: The Physician Assistant educates patients and/or intervenes in acute or chronic illness. The PA practices within the guidelines of the unit department and institution and in accordance with the PA-Physician Written Agreement required and approved by the state of Maryland. The Physician Assistant is granted affiliate staff privileges by the Johns Hopkins Hospital Medical Board; these privileges list specific tasks and are reviewed annually.
Full Time (40 hours)
Day Shift (10 hour days)
Education: Successful completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program.
License: Licensed by the MD Board of physicians. Board certified (or certification-eligible for new graduates) by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistans. Current CPR certification required. If you order or refer items or services for Medicare beneficiaries and you do not have an enrollment record in the Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS), you will need to submit an enrollment application to Medicare to be eligible for employment.
Experience: No experience is required. New grads are encouraged to apply.
