JOB SUMMARY

Provides access to patient services after normal business hours for all patients admitted to Pediatrics at Home, Pharmaquip Infusion, Durable Medical Equipment, and Clinical Respiratory Services. Accepts phone calls and triages to determine appropriate patient disposition, resolution of identified issues, and follow up. Problem solves for patients, referral sources and physicians, coordinates care, and accepts new referrals. Identifies, documents, and trends service concerns complaints, and safety concerns in collaboration with Safety/Quality team to identify opportunities for improvement. Actively involved in improvement initiatives to enhance employee and patient satisfaction based on identified trends. Acts as a "per diem" ready resource for after hours on-call staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred

  • RN license in the state of Maryland

  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission, Federal, and State regulatory standards

  • Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act
