Commercial Real Estate, Insurance Analyst

Commercial Real Estate, Multifamily Agency, Insurance Analyst- Bethesda, MD

The Agency Finance Insurance Management Analyst will play a key role in providing analytical and subject matter support to the Agency Insurance Review Team (internal/external).

The insurance analyst role will have responsibility for insurance data management through Salesforce and have a development track to become a subject matter expert in insurance in the multifamily real estate industry.

The Analyst will develop a thorough understanding of all bank and line of business, policies and procedures; support and drive strict adherence of Lender Insurance requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with clients, Insurance review vendors, internal stakeholders

  • Insure Pipeline (Insurance reports are accurate and delivered on-time).

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports

  • Assist UW in Flood Determination Delineation

  • Monitor centralized AF Insurance e-mail inbox and respond appropriately

  • Maintain tracking system and ensure Salesforce is up-to-date

  • Save documents in electronic folders using standard naming convention

  • Handle special projects as assigned by Insurance Review.

  • Assist with compiling data for audits (1st Line, 2nd Line, 3rd Line).

  • Assist with Freddie Mac ICT1133 Submissions (UW and Delivery)

  • Support the SBL Process

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with degree in business, accounting, or finance.

  • At least 2 Years of Insurance Agency/Broker Claims experience.

  • Strong organization skills

  • Ability to work effectively and independently in high volumes flow with timeliness and accuracy

  • Outstanding writing skills and oral presentation ability

  • High integrity, the ability to communicate articulately and concisely, strong interpersonal and partnership skills, achievement drive, and intellectual curiosity

  • Brings a positive attitude and is deadline oriented

  • Attentive to administration functions for each deal as instructed

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and related analyses
