Job Description:

CSRA is looking for a Database Administrator with 4+ years of professional experience working with Oracle relationship oriented databases. The candidate must have at least a Secret level security clearance to support the aircraft flight data analysis group at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division. This group supports the Navy by analyzing flight data using advanced algorithms in order to identify and interpret results.

Candidates will be responsible for maintaing, updating, and evolving the existing production and test databases as well as contributing to the overall development team’s success. Candidates will be given the unique opportunity to build out customized database infrastructres while assisting and developing database scehmas, ETL layers and optimzed queries.

The team is a small, high-end R&D engineering group that encourages candidates to explore unique problems and develop forward looking solutions. Candidates will participate in the full software development lifecycle for these products and will be expected to actively participate in identifying client needs and generating ideas for new features.

Candidates must be both comfortable and capable of integrating into a team, while being self motivated and able to work independently in their area of responsibility. Previous experience developing thick client applications using the Microsoft .NET framework to interface with existing relational database schemas to pull, modify, and push data is required.

Top Skills:

  • Extensive experience working with the latest version of Oracle

  • Windows OS and RHEL experience

  • Comfortable writing and creating stored procedures

  • Comfortable working with SQLPlus

  • BS in Computer Science or Programming related degree

  • Experience interfacing with relational databases

Secondary Skills:

  • Has Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) and or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

  • Has Security+ and understanding of security protocols for vulnerability management

  • Capable of integrating into, and working with, small teams

  • Capable of working on multiple existing projects simultaneously

  • Experienced in scripting

  • Experience with the .NET framework (C# preferred)

  • Ability to learn and work in existing code bases

  • C#/.NET experience
