Leidos Junior Java Developer in COLUMBIA, Maryland
Leidos will be providing systems integration services to a Government customer for the implementation of an enterprise content management system. Leidos will be responsible for building the computing environments that house the system; designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the applications; and migrating content (image files and database information) from the legacy system into the new repository. Additional services will include: requirements analysis, user training, documentation creation, help desk support, and security engineering.
Review and comprehend business, security, performance and stability requirements.
Participate in the coding and implementation of Java-based solutions build around Alfresco, Solr, Activiti, and Arkcase that leverage Spring and JEE frameworks and interface with Oracle RDBMS.
Develop and unit test SOAP and REST web service integrations.
Conduct peer reviews.
Ensure that business, security and performance requirements are met.
Document programing logic and actions.
Collaborate with testing team to ensure all requirements are met and successfully validated prior to production implementation.
Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of related professional experience. Degree in computer science, management information systems or related field is preferred.
At least 2 years professional experience with Java, JEE, Spring, JSP, EJB, Servlets, JDBC, logging, thread management and/or web services.
Ability to perform technical oversight and application assessment to ensure performance, technical integrity and compliance with design.
Experience with productivity tools such as Eclipse IDE, unit testing frameworks, and configuration management tools is highly desirable.
Strong experience with Web Application development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Previous knowledge or experience with Alfresco, Ephsoft and/or Arkcase is a plus.
Knowledge and experience in working with Java Application Services including Apache and Tomcat.
CM and CMMI knowledge is a plus.
