Job Description

  • Answer patient calls and ensure voicemails are returned in a timely manner and is responsible for any follow up that might come from taking a patient call (
  1. Verifying new insurance information

  2. Resubmitting of claim

  3. Submission of appeal letter to insurance carrier

  4. Sending patient letter/correspondence

  5. Clearly log discussion in patient memo

  6. Escalate calls to Collector or Manager when appropriate

  • Manage team Voicemail box
  1. Return calls

  2. Escalate and or assign calls to Collector/Manager when necessary

  • Maintaining Sfax
  1. Completing requests (W9, Settlement offers, Medical record requests, etc.)
  • Process credit card payments from patients and other payers daily

  • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Collections Manager

Basic Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate (or equivalent)

  • Minimum of 3 years of insuranceverification and or billing and collections experience

  • Experience working in a multi-state practice is a plus.

  • Knowledge of online insurance verifications is necessary.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a must.

  • Solid time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task are necessary.

  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is required.
