Are you an experienced Six Sigma Black Belt, with aptitude to apply Agile, who enjoys evaluating and streamlining processes? Then our Senior Project Manager - Six Sigma Black Belt position is for you! In this dynamic role you will be responsible for large scale projects across our UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead 3 to 6 transactional Lean and Six Sigma projects at a time

  • Deliver projects on-time

  • Maintain strong business relationships with leadership teams

  • Deliver presentations summarizing project findings to senior-level executives

  • Quickly grasp the business and business strategy with a focus on business processes and transactional operations

  • Monitor and analyze data and trends to identify potential opportunities, needs, issues, and problems that could impact business results

  • Understand and interpret customer needs/issues in order to quantify and measure key input and output variables

  • Break down work into process steps, develops schedules, and tightly track/monitor progress

  • Serve as a catalyst for change; actively involved in process and organizational change

  • Apply analytical / quantitative approaches to problem solving; effectively use statistical concepts

  • Lower the organizational barriers to ensure that teams are effective in collaboratively contributing to project resolutions

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • Black Belt certification

  • 3+ years of project / process management experience to include root cause analysis

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Project Manager

  • Experience working in a virtual continuous improvement environment

  • Demonstrated experience in leading multiple Six Sigma/Lean projects at a time

  • Experience maintaining strong relationships with business leadership team

  • Experience leading cross functional teams to project completion and realization of the targeted benefits

  • Experience serving as a catalyst for Change Management

  • Proven experience training and mentoring others on process improvement methodology

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in skills with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and Visio

  • Willingness to assist Agile Product Owners

  • Willingness to adopt and incorporate Agile methodologies into project work

  • Willingness to learn and become a proponent of Agile methodology/ framework

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree

  • Healthcare experience

  • Agile methodology experience

  • Value-stream mapping implementation experience

  • Proficient in Minitab
