The incumbent Manufacturing Technician is responsible for programming SMT pick and place, soldering and automated optical inspection equipment, designing tooling, and supporting lead manufacturing engineer with process optimization to ensure product quality.
Runs SMT placement line including solder paste stencil printer, MyData automated placement equipment, reflow oven and automated optical inspection.
Supports lead manufacturing engineer in developing programs for the placement machine and automated optical inspection.
Supports product movement through the cell using automated shop floor control software.
Supports lead manufacturing engineer optimizing and implementing process corrective actions based on defect data.
Requires a High School Diploma.
8+ years’ experience programming, troubleshooting, debugging, and operating automated SMT equipment including automated optical inspection in a defense, automotive, or commercial environment.
8+ years’ experience with FactoryLogix or equivalent shop floor control software tools.
Must be a US citizen who is able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.
Experience with evaluating defect data and performing root cause analysis.
Experience or certification to IPC level soldering criteria for high reliability applications.
