Supply Technician

Where: Ft. Meade, MD

Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Wage: $29.05/hr.

Skookum is seeking a detailed orientated Supply Technician. This individual is responsible for performing all aspects of warehouse operations, such as technical supply management, inventory management, storage management, retrograde management, cataloging, GCSS-Army operations, Stock Readiness Program (SRP), Enterprise Environmental, Safety & Occupational Health Management Information System (EESOH-MIS) operations and POL issue management.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensures all G-Army actions are entered correctly and completely, as outlined in current policies & procedures.

  • Maintains supply records that properly account for all SRA material and stock.

  • Prepares and/or generates all Business Intelligence (BI) reports, as required – i.e. (customer recons, monthly inventories, zero balance report, due-in listing, COOP list, customer issue list).

  • Locates and distributes materials to specified production areas, utilizing material handling equipment (MHE)

  • Receives, examines, stores and issues material for supported units IAW policies, procedures and EESOH-MIS guidelines.

  • Utilizes EESOH-MIS to manage inbound and outbound CLIII P products for customer units.

  • Oversees day to day operations of sections activities.

  • Inspects and evaluates inventory management activities.

  • Performs visual inspection of, minor repair, preservation and packing of materials.

Qualifications:

  • GCSS-Army certification preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Retail/Warehouse/Logistics.

  • MOS 92A is preferred or equivalent.

  • Commercial Vehicle or OSHA Forklift Certification.

  • Must possess a good working knowledge of the governing supply regulations, supply-related automated information systems, programs, policies, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.

  • Must be able to collect and organize information, identify sources of potential problems and provide recommended courses of action to correct the problem.

  • Must have experience in inventory management, material coordination, cataloging, warehousing, issue and turn-in requirements, and documentation.

  • Excellent customer service skills and must be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Skookum’s insurance carrier.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
