ASRC Federal Holding Company Junior - Mid Level Scheduler in Greenbelt, Maryland

We are seeking a full-time, junior- intermediate Scheduler to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.
Provide junior-intermediate level scheduling support for the WFIRST Project, Code 448.
Create, maintain, and control project schedules using MS Project. Document changes and revisions to the Project schedule. Gather project status information and input data into the project schedule.
Identify project milestones and activities necessary to achieve project objectives.
Identify and document schedule and programmatic interdependencies among project activities and related external projects.
Develop project logic networks and estimate, validate and analyze project activity sequencing, duration and resource requirements.
Interface with project resource analysts to ensure correlation of project schedules
Conduct analyses of project schedules.
Monitor contractor schedules and scheduling systems to ensure compliance with the Schedule Management Plan, SOW, and CDRLs.
Perform schedule analysis to determine overall project performance, variances and risk areas.
Follow Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and schedule hierarchy structure.
Review contractor's earned value reporting, as required.
Provide what-if scenarios, work around and recovery plans, critical path, and vertical and horizontal traceability.
Assist with the tracking and closure of Action Items.
Compliance with NASA and Goddard regulations and procedural requirements is mandatory.
Basic understanding of scheduling techniques.
Strong understanding of MS Office Tool Suite.
Ability to quickly grasp NASA project lifecycles.
Entry schedule analytical skills, and basic experience using MS Project a plus.
Individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work with all levels of professionals as a team player.
Individual must demonstrate a strong work ethic, strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage time and meet strict deadlines.
Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors' degree and a minimum of one year of related experience. Four years of experience in lieu of a degree.
