ASRC Federal Holding Company Junior - Mid Level Scheduler in Greenbelt, Maryland

We are seeking a full-time, junior- intermediate Scheduler to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide junior-intermediate level scheduling support for the WFIRST Project, Code 448.

  • Create, maintain, and control project schedules using MS Project. Document changes and revisions to the Project schedule. Gather project status information and input data into the project schedule.

  • Identify project milestones and activities necessary to achieve project objectives.

  • Identify and document schedule and programmatic interdependencies among project activities and related external projects.

  • Develop project logic networks and estimate, validate and analyze project activity sequencing, duration and resource requirements.

  • Interface with project resource analysts to ensure correlation of project schedules

  • Conduct analyses of project schedules.

  • Monitor contractor schedules and scheduling systems to ensure compliance with the Schedule Management Plan, SOW, and CDRLs.

  • Perform schedule analysis to determine overall project performance, variances and risk areas.

  • Follow Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and schedule hierarchy structure.

  • Review contractor's earned value reporting, as required.

  • Provide what-if scenarios, work around and recovery plans, critical path, and vertical and horizontal traceability.

  • Assist with the tracking and closure of Action Items.

  • Compliance with NASA and Goddard regulations and procedural requirements is mandatory.

  • Basic understanding of scheduling techniques.

  • Strong understanding of MS Office Tool Suite.

  • Ability to quickly grasp NASA project lifecycles.

  • Entry schedule analytical skills, and basic experience using MS Project a plus.

  • Individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work with all levels of professionals as a team player.

  • Individual must demonstrate a strong work ethic, strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage time and meet strict deadlines.

  • Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors' degree and a minimum of one year of related experience. Four years of experience in lieu of a degree.
