Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Mobile Architect to support a customer in Greenbelt, Maryland

Role Description:

The Mobile Architect provides direction to a team of engineers to stand up and manage the mobility environment including the tools and processes used for evaluating mobile technology capabilities. Responsibilities will include managing the resources who will develop the technology strategy necessary to provide a secure mobile experience and protect critical assets fromthreats in the mobile ecosystemby applying expertise instrategic analysis, business architecture, andtechnology architecture. In addition,compile, deliver, andevangelizeend-to-end technology roadmaps that guide the evolution of infrastructure, products, and services by applying depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines. Responsible forimplementing mobile designsand approaches for the2020 Decennial Census. The mobile infrastructure must securely support approximately 400,000 mobile devices using theApple iOSandWindows 10platforms. This individual works to ensure the mobile infrastructure securely supports and scales for 2018 end-to-end test and 2020 Decennial.

  • Experience withU.S. Census operationsandPegasystemsmobile deployments preferred. This individual will work with mobile,cloud, infrastructure and performanceSubject Matter Expertsto ensure that the mobile infrastructure supports 400,000 heads-down mobile users for the 2020 Decennial

Required Skills:

  • At least 10 years of broad rangedsystems engineeringexperience

  • At least 7 years of experience designing and documentingmobile system architectures

  • At least 5 yearsÂ’ experience managing teams

  • Experience working as a contractor for the government

  • Experience withUS Censushighly desirable

  • Experience withmobile threat modeling,mobile security testingor mobile security mitigation strategies

  • Experience in developing design requirements for an expansivemobile device management (MDM) system, including mobile configuration management, remote device control, auditing, critical file backup, wiping, data synchronization, firmware updates, diagnostics, security, network usage, mobile asset tracking and management, device provisioning, software installation, policy application, logging, and reporting, GPS tracking and breadcrumb mapping, and geofencing.

  • Experience working with development teams

  • BS in Computer Science, or related discipline

  • Expertise in object oriented design and system architecture for mobile devices and wireless systems

  • Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written

  • Strong sense of ownership and drive

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Full Background InvestigationSecurity Clearance

  • Experience in IT with major focus onmobile infrastructureand deployment.

  • Knowledge deployment strategies for Mobile Device Management platforms

  • Knowledge deployment strategies forMobile Application Managementplatforms

  • Knowledge deployment of Enterprise Mobile App Stores.

  • Knowledge of vendor device enrollment programs such asApple DEPandMicrosoft Autopilot

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 device management

  • Must have advanced level knowledge of the concepts, practices and procedures of deploying and maintaining large System of Systems.

  • Demonstrated understanding of IT management, administration, applications and system development lifecycles within a substantial IT environment.

  • Experience in tactical planning, managing IT initiatives and managing in-house technical resources and contracted services.

  • Relevant knowledge of current and emerging technologies.

  • Proficient in organizational change management.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, elected officials, executive leadership, senior management, users, vendors and subcontractor personnel.
