Job Description:

One of the key strategic priorities of Merrill Edge is the recruitment and development of top talent. This includes from the time they are recruited into Merrill Edge to the stage at which they are truly productive. The Program is one of the most visible priorities for Merrill Edge senior leadership and is aimed at completely developing and growing talent across our business.

The Site Lead role for the New Hire Program is a visible, senior role that is an ideal next step for highly experienced leaders who are looking to gain visibility with senior management and demonstrate hands-on experience establishing and overseeing an integrated program across multiple lines of business within Merrill Edge. The Site Leader will be responsible for partnering with senior leaders at each site to execute and manage the New Hire program across all phases of the process.


  • Oversee Academy New Hire Program Integration at the respective site and manage the on-Site Academy leaders across all lines of business at the site

  • Communicate and present Program updates to senior leadership at the site and across Merrill Edge basis

  • Work with LOBs to manage performance measurement and progression hurdles for all new hire roles

  • Partner with key areas to streamline and manage onboarding process for all new hires

  • Define ongoing needs and improvements in new hire program (training, licensing, recruiting, etc)

  • Supervise progress of new hire classes, addressing areas for improvement in coordination with new hire manager(s ) and training partners

  • Manage role assessment for Entry Level classes and make final recommendation for role

Required Skills:

  • Series 7, 66, 9, 10

  • Minimum of 3+ years Management experience

  • Proven track record of coaching and improving performance in others

  • Proactively builds trusted relationships with key partners/clients

  • Can quickly learn business, priorities, challenges, and goals

  • Can attract, recruit and retain an effective sales and operations team

  • Ability to serve as client advocate to resolve problems independently or escalate as needed with sense of urgency

  • Exercises good judgment and experience to make timely and effective decisions

  • Demonstrated success in building networks across and outside of organizations

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to easily engage others in dialogue, convey sincere interest in building/deepening relationships, and demonstrate a commitment to providing personalized service

  • Projects enthusiasm, optimism, and determination

  • Communicates clearly and effectively at all levels

  • Communicates strategic business plans and tactical sales goals to team members

  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize, and delegate tasks

  • Strong financial and business acumen including experience in leading managers and interpreting financial reports to drive profitability

  • Ability to pass compliance requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and excellent time management skills

  • Proficiency in computer skills and professional programs (e.g. Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of all Merrill Edge lines of business

  • Prior management experience

  • Prior coaching and/or training experience

  • Undergraduate college degree
