TAs a Field Service Technician, you will provide great customer service while installing retail equipment and diagnosing and solving equipment failures at CVS locations in your geographical area. You will resolve disruptions, delays or intermittent outages of computerized equipment, installation of hardware in new and existing sites, and maintain a consistent, agreed upon service level for computerized equipment. Your work will keep operations moving smoothly at CVS retail locations by providing timely technical support, allowing for continuing top-notch customer service for our retail customers.
As a Field Service Technician, you will:
Drive between CVS locations to service and install hardware
Service POS (point of sale) registers, self-checkout registers, thermal printers, laser printers, scanners, PCs, thin clients, phone systems, RF, networks and other related computer peripherals
Assist other neighboring areas with workload
Be on call for high severity calls during weekday evenings, and rotating weekends and holidays
The normal shift scheduling for this position may include Saturday and Sunday as normal workdays with two weekdays as scheduled days off or rotating on call.
1+ years of experience with technical troubleshooting
Valid Driver’s License with no major violations
Ability to drive between CVS locations on daily basis
Ability to lift laser printers and servers and occasionally work on a ladder
Excellent customer service skills
Previous experience troubleshooting for retail equipment (eg. POS systems, network cabling, scanners, computer peripherals, printers)
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required. Further education or Technical degree a plus and must be verifiable.
