Job Description Writes, prepares, and/or reviews articles to be used in company publications, proposals, manuals and brochures. Coordinates the preparation of company publications to include articles, confirming artwork, verifying facts, giving final approval, etc. Implements and maintains editorial policies and standards. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor.

This is a remote, part-time, on call position. Expected number of hours per week are 10-15.

Specific responsibilities include:

Reviews program documentation for errors in grammar, punctuation, formatting, style, and against project standards and templates. Content may include SOPs, plans, scripts, storyboards, work instructions, guides, and other documents, reports, and presentations. Work comes from multiple content streams, where authors may have different communication strategies and varying writing competencies. Editor will endeavor to move all documents toward a similar voice. Document stages are tracked through a revision and approval cycle. Editing cycles are conducted and tracked using SharePoint/Office 365 collaboration software.

Required Skills May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
