Management Analyst

General: This position serves as the Security Officer for the Atlantic Test Ranges, Patuxent River, Maryland, applying knowledge of management functions, processes, and analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required by program or project managers and customers.

Duties:

  • Provide support to the Government Special Security Officer (GSSO) by overseeing and providing continuity of security for facility, personnel, visitor control, document control, and equipment

  • Enforce special security requirements set forth in DoDM 5205.07 Vol 1-4 and other applicable program policy and guidance

  • Provide support to the Government Special Security Officer (GSSO) by overseeing and providing continuity of security for facility, personnel, visitor control, document control, and equipment

  • Develop and evaluate a full-range of program security documents, policies and procedures and coordinate implementation

  • Provide security risk management guidance pertaining to the protection of advanced technology

  • Assist with daily security guidance and policy interpretation for government facility

  • Provide assistance in support of security compliance reviews and inspections

  • Attend meetings and Teleconferences to coordinate and define security requirements for test events

  • Assist with all JCI Alarm issues and work orders for program spaces

  • Collaborate with and assist the ISSO / ISSM on implementation

  • Conduct security briefings to include indoctrination, debriefing, annual refresher training, foreign travel briefings, and others as required

  • Assist with inquires required for incidents and violations

  • Correspond and coordinate with Program Security Officers (PSO’s)

Experience, Skills, Other Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience performing the stated or similar functions. In lieu of post-high school education/training, a total of 6 years’ experience performing the stated functions is required.

  • Working knowledge of DoD5205.07, ICD705, and other applicable security policies is highly desired.

  • Recent experience working in a classified environment highly desired.

  • Applicant must be a self-starter and be able to use initiative to undertake activities with minimal supervision

  • Experience in using office automation equipment, including personal computers, with experience in software application programs, such as MS products (Word, Excel, Outlook), and others as required.

  • Clear and concise communication with customers, peers, and management is a must.

  • All candidates will be required to pass a Drug Screening.

  • Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a business or management discipline, such as business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or management information technology from an accredited college or university is highly desired.

Security Clearance:

  • U. S Citizenship required

  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance and maintain the clearance throughout employment.

Work Conditions:

Most work performed in enclosed buildings. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Vision abilities needed to perform this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
